The main activity is an expert assessment of various maritime issues.
All members of the Association are maritime industry professionals with many years of work experience and extensive knowledge.

With the use of our experts, IEMPA provides various support and consulting services to sailors and vessel owners, arranges events to promote awareness of maritime law in various countries, supports members of the Association abroad, assists in maritime insurance regulation issues.

Increasing number of yachtsmen around the world caused evolvement of consulting services for yachtsmen and owners of yachts that are not contractual vessels, but also require professional assistance in vessel operation, legal, sailing, repairs, registration, insurance, surveyor services, training and career issues.

Yachtsmen training and certification is important, as requirements for the education differ in each country.

Today there is no single international document confirming a yachtsman qualification and requirements for necessary knowledge. In this connection, since early 2016, IEMPA has established the Training Program Department, and a team of professionals has commenced the study of ship driver training and prepared several training programs and standards for the amateur segment.

Representatives of charter companies, that are the Association members, submitted offers that were included in our training programs and promote greater trust in the training system and qualification tests by IEMPA training centers.

He Association programs were developed in view of the requirements of SOLAS, COLREG, STCW 95 international conventions, recommendations of IMO, as well as requirements of various maritime administrations and governments.
